OneClick Digital recently announced several new updates to the Audiobooks service.
A new update to the Media Manager software was pushed out on April 5th.
Users will automatically be prompted to run the update when they connect.
The new OneClickdigital Media Manager has slightly different look and users will quickly be able to see what title is downloading and the progress for each title. Additionally, the playback functionality is
improved, and it now offers users the ability to download one title, and listen to a different title simultaneously.
Users can now limit their search on the website to only show titles that are currently available for checkout. We have a number of single access titles, so this feature could be particularly useful. This new feature is available on the Advanced Search tab and in the results/filter area of search results.
The iPhone app is now available. Any user with an iPhone, iTouch, or iPad (iOS 4.0 or later) will be able to download the app for free from the iTunes App store. Find the app by doing a search for OneClickdigital in the app store or visiting http://gowyld.net/econtent/OneClick/ or
http://gowyld.net/libraries/tools.html. Users can sign in to the app with the credentials they created on the OneClickdigital website. They will be able access their checkouts, browse and checkout new titles, and download directly to their device using the app. Currently the documentation for the app is a bit sparse, but I hope to have some user instructions on our website later this week that should help.
An Android app is planned for summer release and continued updates to the Media Manager will expand the number of compatible devices.
